Option 1

Link your email to a Google account.

You can link any address, such as adventurer@best-email.com, either to a whole new Google account, or your existing Goole account. In both cases, you can sign into the Google account using your fancy personal email address. Instructions are in the Google forums. Afterwards, click the button above to join. The advantage of this approach is that you can use the Google Groups features, such as history and search.

Option 2

Subscribe directly without using the Google Groups interface.

You can subscribe to the Hydepakki mailing list directly using any address by following these instructions carefully.

1. Send an empty email to tiedotus+subscribe@hydepakki.fi
2. You will receive an email asking to confirm your subscription. Answer the email. Your answer may be empty. In other words, send an empty response
3. Now you are subscribed to the Hydepakki mailing list
4. If you want to unsubscribe, send an empty email to tiedotus+unsubscribe@hydepakki.fi

Using this approach, you don't need to interact with Google. Unfortunately, this means that you can't use the Google Groups interface. On the other hand, who needs it, as you can search also using your email client 🤷
